I've been using the Internet since 1985, when it was glued together mainly with dial-up connections and the email addresses all had bangs in them (as in decvax!ihnp4!frith!hyzen!lees). Back then spam was rare and was quickly and severely punished. Things are, like, not the same now, ya know?
