NCOD 1999 Panel/Discussion:
Gender Transgressors
Thursday 14 October, 7:00 p.m.
Northwestern Room, MSU Union

The session will begin with short remarks from a panel of people who have publicly transgressed gender across the spectrum of bisexual, gay, lesbian, transgender, intersex, and transsex experience. The discussion will then broaden to include everyone in the room, encouraging folks to talk about their own experiences in the stormy seas of public gender.

Part of National Coming Out Days at Michigan State University, brought to you with the help of the Alliance of LBGT Students, the GLBT Faculty/Staff Association, the Women's Resource Center, and others.

"Who would you be if you had never been punished for gender-inappropriate behavior, or seen another child punished for deviation from masculine or feminine norms, or participated in dishing out such punishment?" – Patrick Califia, Sex Changes: The Politics of Transgenderism
